What a weekend! I cooked some new recipes that turned out pretty well, Alabama won with authority and I got to visit with some friends I had not seen for too long. That was just the start to the great weekend. We were also fortunate enough to host a young E4 on home from Afghanistan on his mid-tour leave. A huge thanks to the Shelby County University of Alabama Alumni Chapter for sponsoring this young warrior this weekend and an additional thanks to Bama Fever for donating some Bama gear for him to wear to the game. Thanks everyone involved.

Now, on to the tailgate. I decided to do pork a bunch of different ways. Some of the recipes were based off web finds and some were my own recipes and others were thrown together by Brian and Pat. Overall, here is what we had:

Meat (all pork) and Cheese Trays
Baconator (I stuffed mine with pepperjack cheese, bbq sauce and spinach)
Goat Cheese Stuffed Pork Tenderloins in a mustard garlic glaze
Vietnamese Pork Loin (seared on a flat top and baked)
Bacon wrapped Pork Loin, Stuffed with Blue Cheese and Spinach, Stuffed with Smoked Sausage Link and Stuffed with a Pork Tenderloin (recipe on my recipe page)
BBQ Beans with Bacon
BLT Salad
Both the baconator and the stuffed loin turned out really well and are dishes that I will cook again in the near future. In addition to the above items, plenty of folks brought side dishes to contribute to the tailgate.

We had a great turnout complete with some Arkansas fans who were a pleasure to host and entertain. Thanks to everyone who was able to stop by and hang out.
