We’re right back at it this weekend. Another home game and another team from the great state of Mississippi. With that we welcome the Ole Miss – well they are back to being the Rebels – to campus.
Speaking of last weekend, check out some product highlights on the Post-Tailgate Review page – a hint a HUGE shout out to Fiddlesticks. Over the coming tailgates I’ll be using and reviewing some great gear from these guys.
Ole Miss always makes me think of traditional southern foods. Since Ole Miss claims to be the Holy Grail of tailgating sites, I thought we may want to step it up for this one – and it is an SEC game after all. I’ll reserve judgement on that claim based on a few trips over there.
2:30 games are always tough. It seems like everyone thinks “I can leave home around 10:30 and get there in plenty of time” and the problem is, most folks do. Traffic can be a bear. With todays GPS/Cell phones and active traffic long gone are those hidden routes (Hurricane Creek anyone?). Top that off with a big SEC games at 11AM, 6PM and 7PM I figure folks may hang out for a little bit after the Bama game. With that in mind I am going to do a brunch before the game and some traditional foods for after the game.
Here’s my initial thoughts. I may change up some of these ideas as folks let me know how many they have coming. Hey Shyam – fire up Watson and let me know how many people are going to be at the tailgate!
Brunch
- Crimson Sunrise Mimosas
- Alabama Shrimp and Grits
- Featuring Alabama McEwen and Sons Grits, Alabama Conecuh Sausage and Alabama Shrimp – #farmtotailgate #tailgatetotailgate

Post-Game
