Well folks, it’s crazy to think that we’re wrapping up another season of tailgates and regular season games.

As always I want to take a second and say a huge thanks to the tailgate crew.  Above all I want to give a huge thanks to my wife Jules – there’s no way I’d be able to pull off these tailgates without her.  Thanks Jules.  Another huge thanks to the Jarmon’s for hosting us week in and week out.  Thanks guys for all the hard work that goes into getting the house ready each and every week.  From grass cutting, tent setting up, tv service, cleaning up on Sundays on and on.  Thanks!  Chad, thanks for helping with everything that leads up to the tailgates including the random store runs and of course prepping, cooking and cleanup.  Jeremy, thanks for always lending an extra hand.  Too many folks to thank you all.  I know some of the games this year we had over 15 folks lending a hand – thanks to all.

As many of you know, I’m the past president of the Shelby County Alumni Association and each year I do one tailgate off the quad.  This year it’s the final game.  So come join us bright and early at the tent (directions at the hyperlink).  With an early game I’ll be doing breakfast for the chapter and guests – some come on by.

This week welcomes the Mercer Bears out of Macon, GA.  You know what rhymes with Macon….. Bacon!!  So, why not add a little bacon to the menu.

This will be a combined menu with the Shelby County Alumni Association and on hand will be:

• Yellowhammers
• Krispy Kream
• Alabama Tailgate Bacon Breakfast Casserole

The Shelby County Tent will open 8AM and I’ll have breakfast over around 9AM.  If you’re out and about, come say hi.
