What a wild game last week against Ole Miss. The outcome was not what we wanted of course, but the season is still young. This week welcomes a little earlier kickoff.   Those 8pm kickoffs make for a long day of tailgating and a very late evening.

This week we welcome the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks and a 3pm kickoff. I wanted the give a nod to the Cajun and Creole influences found throughout Louisiana as well as keep the menu easy.

• Cahaba Blonde Beer Battered Fried Shrimp and Crawfish Po-Boys w/ traditional Rémoulade
• Fresh cut sweet potato and regular fries mixed with fried okra
• Hot sauce marinated onion straws
• Cajun chips with creole shrimp and green onion dip

I plan on getting lunch off around 1pm to give folks plenty of time to get to the game.  If you make it by the tailgate be sure to try the Cahaba Blonde – brewed right here in Birmingham.  Great beer and great group of folks.
